Hope this letter finds you safe and healthy! With the blessing of Swami Chinmayananda and our guru parampara, we have been serving diligently at Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram in Orange and our satellite center in Stamford.
During this challenging year of Covid-19, we doubled our effort to continue Bala Vihar, Satsang, Gita Chanting and worship services online. Among many accomplishments, our best Gita Chanting students performed during the tri-state online celebration of Gurudev Jayanthi in May. We had special online satsang events with Brni. Shubhani ji, family camp with Vivek ji and Vilasini ji and Swami Shantananda ji.
Our high school graduates organized and taught SAT prep class over 12 weeks as a service project. We helped the needy in our society, in April and before Thanksgiving Day, with donation to local food pantries from your donations (Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Beth-El Center, New Haven Harvest and Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County).
The worship services continue at our Ashram, where we had many special events. These have been in accordance with the state health and safety guidelines. Mrityunjaya Homa was performed in July for the health of the society at large. We celebrated the sixth Ashram Anniversary with Sita Rama Kalyanam for health and peace to all. Lastly, there are many building and yard projects completed with volunteer effort.
Our Holiday Gala, Utsav, was also celebrated at the Ashram on a beautiful sunny afternoon in September. Many of you pledged generously and we deeply appreciate your kind support. If you have not paid or pledged yet, please consider this Giving Tuesday, Dec 1, as a reminder to help us sustain all the wonderful activities.
