Seva Diwali: Community Support

We deeply appreciate the support of all, who donated our mission to help those in need with the Seva Diwali – Community Support program. We concluded this program on November 19; with your generosity, we raised a total of $2400. We had many volunteers including the Jr. Yuva Kendra students of our Sunday Bala Vihar for making it a successful fundraiser.
We distributed these funds to local food pantries on November 25, 2020. It will be in lieu of distributing canned food and thus avoiding the challenging logistics under Covid-19. The recipients of the donations this year will include: Beth-El Center of Milford, Bridgeport Rescue Mission and New Haven Harvest.
We wish you a nice Thanksgiving holiday and look forward to celebrating the religious holidays during this Karthika month at our Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram – Devi Temple.
